Distinctively You Events does wedding planning, design and coordination, wedding concierge, customized services, wedding weekends in Southern New Jersey.

The couples with whom we’ve worked have chosen from the services we’ve offered, but they’ve also added to our services with their own special requests. If there is something you need that is not included here, please ask us about adding it to our services for you.

Because we view our clients as unique individuals and our services are customized to your needs, we offer only three packages (Planning/Design/Coordination, Concierge and Month-Out). All other combinations of services are built boutique-style, precisely to your needs.

Wedding Concierge Services – starting at $4,500 (actual fee based on size of wedding, logistics and travel considerations)

The couples who typically choose this service are two busy people who don’t have time to take on another job, which is what planning a wedding becomes with the hundreds of details involved. In providing this service, We do the legwork in making all arrangements that you wish. This is the ultimate wedding consulting package. We will:

  • Function as your right arm and your tireless as well as fearless advocates
  • Offer unlimited face-to-face consultations for planning and meeting with other wedding professionals
  • Construct a planning calendar with checklist that fits your wedding and defines who will do what
  • Provide unlimited access via telephone during regular business hours as well as unlimited access via email
  • Work with you to construct a detailed budget according to your needs and priorities
  • Recommend appropriate ceremony sites and reception venues
  • Provide unlimited referrals of talented wedding professionals
  • Negotiate and review contracts
  • Confer with the catering manager and/or chef to integrate your style or theme into the menu
  • Assist in choosing stationery items
  • Offer unlimited advice and/or suggestions on etiquette, creative ideas, and technical considerations
  • Help you develop your vision into a tangible style that reflects your dream
  • Translate the style into recommendations for the décor and details of the wedding
  • Mediate when necessary by suggesting compromises and approaches
  • Arrange for hotel blocks for out-of-town guests
  • Confirm arrangements and times with wedding professionals
  • Create a detailed itinerary for your wedding day
  • Aid in your licensing needs
  • Orchestrate your rehearsal (where permitted) and organize your wedding party
  • Help plan and coordinate your rehearsal dinner
  • Coordinate the timing and order of your processional and recessional
  • Work with the officiant (when permitted) to create a smooth, personalized ceremony
  • Ensure that preparations at the reception venue are in line with your expectations
  • Complete detail work on décor, tabletops, display tables, etc.
  • Troubleshoot any problems that arise on your day
  • Manage the timing of formalities during the reception with your family, wedding party and wedding professionals
  • Make final payments to wedding professionals, as requested
  • Pack and transfer your gifts, accessories, cake, etc. to designated vehicles
  • Provide other services deemed necessary by agreement
  • Wish you a wonderful life together

Wedding Planning, Design, and Coordination Service – starting at $2,500 (actual fee based on consulting hours, size of wedding, logistics and travel considerations)

This our most popular service tier, perfect for couples who need a professional’s help, but have some time to devote to the planning. For couples who choose this service, we will:

  • Function as your right arm and fearless advocate
  • Offer a contracted number of consultation hours (starting at 20) for face-to-face planning and/or meeting with other wedding professionals
  • Provide unlimited access via telephone during regular business hours as well as unlimited access via email
  • Work with you to construct a detailed budget according to your needs and priorities
  • Construct a planning calendar and checklist that fits your wedding and defines who is responsible for what
  • Help you develop your vision into a tangible style that reflects your dream
  • Translate the style into recommendations for the décor and details of the wedding
  • Offer advice and/or suggestions on etiquette, creative ideas, and technical considerations
  • Provide referrals of talented wedding professionals chosen to complement your needs
  • Negotiate and review contracts
  • Confer with the catering manager and/or chef to integrate your style or theme into the menu
  • Assist in choosing stationery items
  • Offer unlimited advice and/or suggestions on etiquette, creative ideas, and technical considerations
  • Help you develop your vision into a tangible style that reflects your dream

Month-Out Services– Starting at $1,000 (actual fee based on size of wedding, logistics and travel considerations)

(Note: This package must be booked no later than six weeks before your wedding date.  The fee for the package will rise if you wish to book in prime months, i.e. May, June, July, September, October.)

This tier of service is for those who wish to plan their wedding themselves, but would like a professional to pull the ends together and coordinate the big day. We will:

  • Provide one consultation a month before your wedding to go over your plans
  • Review contracts and confirm arrangements and times with wedding professionals
  • Discuss details, roles and responsibilities with venue event manager
  • Offer unlimited email and telephone contact with me to fine-tune your plans
  • Create a detailed itinerary for your wedding day
  • Provide a second consultation ten to fourteen days before your wedding to finalize itinerary and any changes in plans
  • Orchestrate your rehearsal (where permitted) and organize your wedding party
  • Ensure that preparations for the ceremony and the reception are in line with your expectations
  • Coordinate the timing and order of your processional and recessional
  • Complete detail work on décor, tabletops, display tables, etc.
  • Troubleshoot any problems that arise on your day
  • Include assistants needed for coverage
  • Make final payments to wedding professionals, as requested
  • Manage the timing of formalities during the reception with your family, wedding party and wedding professionals
  • Pack and transfer accessories, cake, gifts, etc. to designated vehicles
  • Wish you a wonderful life together

Consultations and Customized Services – Hourly rate of $90 (Hours used based on face-to-face time, not actual hours spent on your wedding.)

  • You may choose any of the services mentioned in the planning packages above.
  • You may request services for pre- or post-wedding events, as well, such as rehearsal dinners, after parties, wedding weekends, etc.
  • If you’d like a service that is not mentioned, please ask about it.
